Macquarie Cloud Services achieves Microsoft Azure Advanced Specialisation
It was only February this year when Macquarie Cloud Services publicly launched its Managed Services offering at Microsoft Ignite Sydney. We’ve strategically partnered with Microsoft and believe that Azure is the public cloud solution for our customers.
Since February, it’s been a year of significant investment and achievement for our business:
- Nearly half of our business has earned technical certification in Azure Administration, Architecture, DevOps, Security and Data engineering. We aim to be the most certified Azure Managed Services Provider in Australia – we know that investment in skills and capability means architecturally sound solutions for our customers.
- In recognition of our strong relationship with Microsoft, we’ve now earned Microsoft Gold competencies in Cloud Platform, Datacenter, Data Analytics, Application Development, Cloud Productivity and Silver competencies in Security, Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions, Collaboration and Content.
- In October this year our Azure Managed Services were specifically assessed and validated against ISO-27001 compliance controls.
- In November, we were recognised on the world stage, winning the Managed Services Innovation of the Year – Azure Managed award at the Global Telecoms Awards (GLOTEL awards). Our business also received a global award for Best Customer Experience at the World Communications Awards – validation of our world leading customer experience. This is strong recognition of our commitment to innovation and our all-encompassing commitment to customer experience.
And now, I’m excited to announce that Macquarie Cloud Services has earned the Windows Server and SQL Server Migration to Microsoft Azure Advanced Specialisation.
“The Windows Server and SQL Server Migration to Microsoft Azure Advanced Specialisation allows partners with an active Gold Cloud Platform Competency to further differentiate their organisation by demonstrating their expertise in migrating and optimising Windows Server- and SQL Server-based workloads to Microsoft Azure.” |
This puts us up there with a discrete number of partners worldwide recognised by Microsoft as having specialised skills and capability relating to migration and Azure adoption, closely aligned to Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure.
To pass the rigorous audit, Macquarie Cloud Services was required to provide live demonstrations and case studies of advanced capabilities specific to migration and ongoing managed services. This included but was not limited to security and risk assessment, hybrid networking architecture and design, workload migration planning, project lifecycle management, migration execution, validation and testing, automation and ongoing environment management (cost, governance, security and more).
With the Azure Advanced Specialisation we have, we are confident to deliver more.
With the Advanced Specialisation in hand, Macquarie is best placed to execute on-premise to Azure migrations with access to specific Microsoft programs tailored to Advanced Specialisation partners. These Microsoft programs help customers speed up cloud adoption, provide training for our customers coupled with commercial benefits.
We continue to dream big, our success doesn’t stop here. We’re poised to deliver much more in 2021. Stay tuned.
Congratulations to the entire Macquarie Cloud Services team on this fantastic achievement.
