VMware by Broadcom Certifications and you. A plain language guide to who can do what.

VMWARE cloud verified logoEver met a cloud provider that didn’t claim to be secure and agile? Neither have we.

Cloud is used to mean very different things by different organisations. While it can make new things possible, it can also be a double-edged sword, with new challenges as well. The good news is that no one has to take it on alone.

It’s sheer complexity, and trade-offs between open-standards and proprietary options mean comparing any two solutions can be challenging.

Independent certifications are the key to establishing which providers are capable of taking you where you want to go securely and efficiently. Examples include ISO (data security), PCI (financial data) and ISM (government), though in many cases additional industry-specific requirements may apply, e.g. Department of Human Services certifications for those working with e-health platforms.

VMware by Broadcom has been at the forefront of virtualisation and cloud technology for a generation, so they’re a respected voice in standards-based solutions. They maintain their own certifications to ensure objective comparisons can be made between providers. Here’s a brief plain-language guide to the programme recognition you should insist on as the absolute last word in best-practise VMware by Broadcom implementations. You can find further detail here.

Their flagship programme confers Showcase Partner status. Macquarie Cloud Services are Australia’s only such partner, and one of just 12 globally. This means we benefit from:

  • Deeper Access to Technology, so we can take advantage of multiple VMware by Broadcom components to create the solutions designed for you, not for us.
  • Early Access Beta Program, which enables software driven environments to test the newest improvements so you enjoy battle-hardened results
  • Detailed Training and Support direct from the VMware Showcase Team, for deeper technical insights

Being VMware Cloud Certified means our enterprise-scale Australian Software Defined Data Centres (SDDC’s) have been externally validated by VMware by Broadcom for their manageability, stack, sizing’s software and performance to help you move to the cloud with confidence. Put simply, it means you can continue to use VMware skills and solutions your way across both on-premises and cloud-based environments in a manner that lets you scale with control, and meet standards such as PCI. We’re one of less than 40 such partners globally.
